As the end of the year approaches, it can be a good opportunity to look back on your accomplishments, challenges and insights in order to close the last chapter on the year and move forwards with fresh appreciation for how far you have come.

Use this template to record a score out of 10 for each of these 8 areas of your life. This can give an easy indication of the ares of life to focus on in the upcoming year.

The Past Year

Go through your calendar week by week and write down some of the important and memorable events. If you need to help jog your memory, also have a look through some of the photos you may have taken this year.

Forgiveness

Did anything happen during the past year that still needs to be forgiven? Do you need to forgive yourself for any deeds or words that you may regret? What are you angry with yourself for?

Letting Go

Is there anything you need to let go of before you can start your next year? What do you need to leave behind and not carry into the next year? What do you need to surrender and what can it be replaced by?

Words of the Year

Choose 3 words to define your last year. If a book or movie was to be made about your past year, what title would you give it?
